Frequently
Asked Questions
Maternity Questions
- I have really bad stretch marks.
What can be done about them?
Don't worry about your stretch marks. They can be
retouched right out of the picture. Digital photography is a
wonderful thing!
- I have to take shots for certain
conditions during my pregnancy. How can I cover them up?
Do not try to cover up the bruises, especially do not use
makeup! Those bruises can be erased from your final prints. I
know you might consider NOT doing the maternity sessions because of
them, but your baby is such a miracle, don't let the bruises keep
you from coming. Once they have been retouched, you will not
even see them.
- I would like to do a session when I am
pregnant and another session after the baby arrives. Do you
offer a discounted rate for both sessions?
Each session is treated as separate sessions. I cannot do
split a session between the maternity session and the newborn
session. Each session needs to have my devoted attention and time to
produce the best pictures for you. I do offer an 8x10 portrait
gift for your newborn session if you did your maternity session with
me. Your portraits are worth the time to get them right.
General Questions
- I am interested in doing multiple
sessions. Do you offer a discount for those?
For my repeat customers, I offer a completely free portrait
creation session (a $150 value) after 5 sessions. This works
great if you want to do maternity, newborn, 3 month, 6 month, 9
month, and 1 year pictures. After you have 5 paid sessions
with me, your 6th session is on me.
- My youngest child is two now. Can
you do something with us?
Although I specialize in maternity and baby photography, I would
be happy to do a session with your toddlers and older children. My
style will be the same. I do not use a lot of props, I like to
capture your child as who they are: happy, sad, mad, or serious.
That is what I want you to see! If that is something you are
interested, I would love to work with you.
- I love your style of photography, do you
do weddings?
No, I do not photograph for weddings. Weddings are
wonderful, but please find an experienced wedding photographer for
the wedding. I cannot tell you how precious those wedding
portraits will be to you in the future. And, unlike other portraits,
you can't have the wedding portraits retaken:)
